Prenatal Education Classes

These evidence-based classes cover a lot of ground, including but not limited to: prepping the body for birth, how to know when labour has begun, medical and non-medical pain management, the body’s process during labour, induction and interventions, debunking cultural myths about childbirth, taking care of yourselves after birth, as well as newborn feeding, sleeping, bathing and more.

Dates: Wednesdays May 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th (June 5th as a rescheduled date if a session cannot be fulfilled due to a birth!)

Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Mom & baby meet up: On the Mat

A six week program for moms with babies ages 0-6 months. Each week will have either a guest who is a local perinatal specialist or a special activity planned. The same parents will be in the group for the series to foster a sense of community.

Dates: May-June 2024

Liz (she/her) is a mother, writer and doula. With a background in psychology and previous work in addictions, HR, and mindfulness, she has a unique toolkit for prenatal, perinatal and postnatal care. She is fascinated by each unique experience of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and by the cultural pressures put on new parents during these times.

She loves to cultivate deep awareness and understanding of each unique parenthood journey, and is passionate about supporting people in understanding and writing their birth stories. An attentive listener, insightful thinker, and warm hugger, Liz adores the profound connections she gains with families.

This program is for mothers interested in the embodiment of awakened, conscious, heart centered parenting. For those wanting to move from states of fear, scarcity, and lack to states of ease, confidence, and abundance in motherhood. Sessions are individually curated and incorporate aspects of mindfulness, reflection practices, music, sound, and breath work according to the interest of the participant.
